Disappointed and upset

As far as the show itself, the music was great. Bryan sang for a little more than two hours straight with no intermission. As I said, the music was great. However, I was very disappointed in the fact that I made a three hour drive and paid close to $150.00 for a floor seat close to the stage so I could see; and as soon as the show started, everyone stood up. I thought it was just to welcome him to the stage for his first number, but no, they stood for the whole two hours. Therefore, I could not see a thing just hear the music. I am handicapped and unable to stand so I had to sit in my seat and just listen to the music and watch the big screen. My husband stood for some of the show (I encouraged him to do so so at least one of us could see) and he felt very uncomfortable knowing that I couldn't see. I have been to many concerts and this is the first one where there basically was no control or respect for other patrons at the venue trying to see. I think the patrons should have been asked to be seated and maybe just stand for some of the numbers if they wanted to dance or whatever. I realize it is hard to sit still when there is jiving music played that you would like to dance to, but you could do the hand gestures and whatever else in your seat and show some respect for other patrons who may not be able to stand for two hours. I have been to many Trans Siberian Orchestra concerts where the music makes you want to get up and dance and no patrons stood up for the whole show. They would stand for a short period, then sit down. As far as the venue itself, the UPMC Events Center is a very nice place. The ushers were very accommodating and polite in getting me a wheelchair to get me to my seat and from my seat after the show. No complaints there. I also like the fact that they do not charge for parking. However, based on what happened during this show, I don't know if I would go to another concert at this venue and take the chance of not being able to see again. Why pay for a seat?
